Blog Post: A Few Thoughts on Thank You Letters

posted Monday, February 9, 2009

Contributed by Nicole Spracale, Senior Vice President, Jobing.com

Some candidates send me hand written thank you notes after an interview, some send an email, occasionally, I even receive a “thank you” phone call. No matter what form it takes on, I love it! To me, how you treat me and follow-up with me during the interview is a window into how you are going to treat and follow-up with our clients. So --- without giving anything away regarding how I evaluate candidates …. have you sent a follow-up/thank you for your interview?

How can a thank you note, for personal or professional purposes, ever be the wrong move? I agree, great advice Nicole!

Thanks!
