Jobing Description

Nutritional Services Department is responsible to prepare and serve on a daily basis three delicious and nutritional meals to our clients, students from St. Stephen's Lutheran Academy and the staff in a cafeteria setting.

The Foodservice Worker position is responsible for preparing meals, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and dining room. Responsible for setting up the serving line, and keeping all foods abundant on the serving line for meals. Overall, responsibility for general preparation and serving of foods. Works primarily, but not limited to the kitchen and dining room. Work unit also includes cooler, freezers and dry stock room.

Skills / Requirements

High school diploma or higher education, prior experience in food service production is preferred.

Must be able to read and write English, do simple arithmetic, and follow oral and written instruction.

Must have the capacity to grasp and adjust to new and changing situations.

Must be able to accurately use scales and properly use food production equipment.

Must be able to comprehend and utilize standardized recipes and follow a production sheet.

Must be able to work with money and operate a cash register.

Must be able to adhere to dress code at all times.

Must be able to adjust hours to job requirements; hours will include evenings and weekends.

Must be eligible for Act 33/34 clearances.

Must be able to identify with the agency's Mission Statement and support the agency's Core Values.
