Job: Mortgage Specialist

Dollar Bank, Pittsburgh’s oldest Bank, is seeking a Mortgage Specialist for our facility located in the Strip District.

This individual is responsible for ensuring that residential loans are processed and closed in a timely, accurate manner and that they are able to be sold on the Secondary Market as well as insurable for FHA and VA. The Mortgage Specialist guarantees, through thorough analysis, that all Loan Prospector loan application packages contain the appropriate information and documentation that is necessary to satisfy the requirements of the Bank and Freddie Mac Loan Prospector System for all conforming loans.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Complete a detailed analysis of the loan file documentation to insure accuracy of the data pertaining to the critical fields, including but not limited to, income, funds to close, social security numbers, liabilities and property location.
·Insure the proper documentation of the loan file requirements as defined by the risk grade evaluation provided by Freddie Mac’s Loan Prospector System.
·Act as a liaison between customer, loan officer, realtor, and title company to coordinate the timely processing and closing of loans, as well as answer questions and provide quality customer service.
·Utilize Fiserv system to update files, prepare loan packages, and enter pertinent information.
·Prepare processing and closing documents and review to ensure accuracy and compliance. Prepare and forward specific loan closing instructions to closing agent. Ensure that all conditions and requirements are met prior to loan funding.
·Gather and review conditions to ensure that all are met and are acceptable to the Bank and to FNMA/FHLMC/GNMA and FHA/VA.
·Communicate with borrowers, realtors, title agents, processors, originators, underwriters and all levels of management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·A Minimum of two years in mortgage loan processing/closing for a professional mortgage banker is strongly preferred.
·Good organizational and mathematical skills are required.
·Ability to pay attention to detail and to coordinate multiple tasks is required.
·Proficient PC skills are required.
·Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
·You must have no personal unresolved financial history with our Bank.
