Jobing Description
1. PRIMARY PURPOSE - To source and acquire products or component parts of products for resell to maximize profit and customer service for projects.
2. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Contact suppliers via phone, e-mail or fax to obtain project specific information or to negotiate better terms. This information will be used by Sales to complete a specific quote for a customer.
 Contact suppliers via phone, e-mail or fax to request product samples to be forwarded to Sales to support a specific quote for a customer.
 Attend on-site and off-site supplier meetings and Expos to gain market information, build product knowledge and develop strong relationships with strategically selected suppliers.
 Notify Procurement Managers of Supplier Price or Product changes.
 Maintain an understanding of market and packaging trends.
 Source new suppliers and products.
 Maintain current supplier records and product information (computer and hard copy).
 Maintain the library physically, ensuring that materials and information are easily accessible.
 Train new employees in various departments in the effectiveness of the hard copy and software library.
 Maintain an adequate supply of all necessary catalogs and professional journals, supplying all Branch offices as needed.
 Conduct all matters in an ethical manner and within the policies and conduct expectations of the company.

3. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Perform other activities such as assistance with the custom mold process and off-shore projects as required.
 Contract Review: File contract review checklist and confidentiality agreements in orderly fashion for the purpose of internal and external audits.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

A. Minimum education, job experience, certifications, skills, knowledge and abilities that incumbent must typically have to perform the essential functions of the job acceptably.

 A Bachelors degree in Business or a related field, or purchasing or sales experience is required.
 Computer proficiency is necessary.
