Job: Settlement Agent

Prepare and process documents and coordinate loan settlement activities.
Perform one of the following functions as assigned for high volume customers.


RESPONSIBILITIES
**Service customers by resolving issues in a timely manner and assuring adherence to their requirements to ensure trust and loyalty is acquired and maintained.

**Audit each assigned file to ensure all required closing documents (payoff letters, clear title, taxes, etc.) are present and accurate prior to closing.

**Prepare Multistate/prehud by accurately inputting all required information (closing fees, recording fees, title fees, etc.) and send to customer for review to ensure closing requirements are met.

**Coordinate closing process by initiating contact with closer and following standard procedures to ensure closing conforms to all established requirements.

**Contact homeowner or real estate broker to determine who should be at the closing, how the documents should be executed, and identification requirements to ensure closing conforms to all established requirements.

**Prepare CPL letter by entering lender specific data and sending to appropriate parties to ensure requirements are met.

**Review the deed for each closing by following established procedures to ensure proper recording occurs and to prevent liability of unrecorded documents.

**Send closing package to notary/closing agent to ensure loan closes in a timely manner.

**Provide back-up to various department functions when necessary to ensure continuation of department work-flow.
