Job: Collections Specialist - TEMP

This person will assist the Student Accounting staff and management to ensure that collection goals are being met at the brand schools of EDMC Online Higher Education. This primary duty of this position is to collect past due receivables.

KEY JOB ELEMENTS
1. To collect past due receivables from current or former students of brand schools of EDMC Online Higher Education
2. Work with the student accounting collections staff to assist them with obtaining collections of past due accounts.
3. Work closely with collection agencies to ensure that all procedures are being followed and that collection goals are being met.
4. Follow procedures for the placement of students with collection agencies.
5. Analyze collection agency reports and resolve discrepancies between the agency reports and EDMC records.
6. Create and present reports of past due receivables to update management regarding the status of collections.
7. Perform other duties and complete special projects, as needed

Degree in Accounting or Business preferred
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently
Minimum of 3 years of Collections experience required
