Hours: Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Description
Coordinates patient information to ensure that discharge records are received, in proper order, analyzed and forwarded to appropriate physicians for completion. Verifies insurance information. Schedules appointments for tests, procedures, and follow-up. Gathers charge and payment information, enters charges and completes billing and collection process. Performs other clerical duties as needed.

Requirements
High school diploma or GED. Minimum of 1 year of billing and/or general medical office experience in a health care organization. Knowledge of billing practices and ICD-9 and 10 CPT coding. Computer skills. Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

Preferred: Medical Assistant certification, other advanced degree in a medical field of study.
